We mapped 428 UK casino brands to the companies behind them. 69% are not independent — they are sisters of at least one other brand.

UK players regularly compare casinos as if each is a separate business. In reality, of the 428 brands we have investigated, 295 (69%) belong to a company that runs at least one other brand. Sister sites typically share the same platform, game library, bonus terms and — critically — the same self-exclusion and account controls. Choosing a "different" casino from the same network rarely gives you a genuinely different experience or a fresh chance after a previous account was closed.

The regulatory record behind the networks
A UK Gambling Commission licence is a baseline, not a clean bill of health. Because a shared operator means a shared compliance record, a penalty against a network applies to every brand on it. The nine operators behind many of the sister sites we cover have together paid over £33 million in UK Gambling Commission penalties in recent years — overwhelmingly for anti-money-laundering and safer-gambling failings.

We identify the operator and licence behind each brand from its own terms and conditions, UK Gambling Commission and offshore licensing registers, and shared-platform fingerprints, then group brands by operator. Licence and GamStop status is verified per brand and re-checked regularly. Figures update automatically as our review database grows.
