MoneyPlay Sister Sites

Short version: MoneyPlay does have sister sites — a whole family of them — because it was never a standalone casino. It was one branded storefront on the platform run by ProgressPlay Limited, a Malta-registered company that powers well over a hundred UK-facing casino sites. And despite the way it gets filed on some “offshore casino” lists, MoneyPlay was not an unlicensed overseas operation: it traded on ProgressPlay’s UK Gambling Commission licence. The important catch is that MoneyPlay itself now appears to be closed.

If you have landed here after reading a “forensic” write-up that quoted a Curaçao or Anjouan licence number for MoneyPlay, treat that with suspicion. We could not find any offshore licence attached to this brand, and we are not going to invent one to fill the gap. What follows is only what a public record or the operator’s own site actually supports.

Who actually runs MoneyPlay

The operator is ProgressPlay Limited, a company registered in Malta that describes itself, in its own words, as a provider of “standalone licensee, full whitelabel and customizable turnkey solutions for casinos and sports” (progressplay.com/about-us). We could not independently confirm ProgressPlay’s Malta company registration number on the Malta Business Registry, so we have left it out rather than print a figure we have not checked. In plain terms, ProgressPlay builds and runs the casino; a partner supplies a name, a look and the marketing. MoneyPlay was one of those names.

That model is the single most useful thing to understand about this brand, because it decides who actually holds your account, your money and your complaint. It is not a company called “MoneyPlay”. It is ProgressPlay, wearing a MoneyPlay badge.

On licensing, here is what is verifiable and what is not:

• UK Gambling Commission — account 39335 (verifiable). ProgressPlay Limited holds an active UKGC account covering casino, bingo and betting. You can read it on the Commission’s own register: gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-register/business/detail/39335. A MoneyPlay page that carried a UKGC number would have been borrowing this operator’s licence — a white-label brand does not hold one of its own.
• Malta Gaming Authority (stated by the operator, unverified). ProgressPlay also cites a Malta Gaming Authority licence on its corporate site. We could not independently confirm it on the MGA’s own register at the time of writing, so we are not reproducing the number here.
• Any brand-specific “MoneyPlay” licence number: none. A white-label brand is not separately licensed, so any page printing a bespoke MoneyPlay licence code is quoting something that does not exist.

“Offshore” is the wrong label

It is easy to see how MoneyPlay ends up on lists of overseas casinos: it is small, it launched recently (reviewers place it around 2023), and its ownership is not spelled out on the front page. But small and quiet is not the same as offshore. The paperwork points to a UK-licensed platform, not a Curaçao shell. If you were a UK player at MoneyPlay while it was live, you were inside the UK system, not outside it — which, as the risk section below explains, cuts both ways.

The genuine offshore danger is a different one: a brand-new site that reuses a familiar name like “MoneyPlay” but shows no UK Gambling Commission account in its footer. If you ever meet one of those, the checks at the end of this page will flag it in about a minute.

MoneyPlay’s real sister sites

MoneyPlay’s true sisters are the other brands on the ProgressPlay platform — casinos that share the same operator, the same cashier and the same licence. ProgressPlay runs a large stable of these, and it is worth saying plainly that individual brands open and close often, so treat any single entry as “check the footer before you trust it” rather than a promise it is live today.

That is a sample, not the full roll: ProgressPlay’s UK account lists close to 190 domains. If you want the complete, current picture, the register itself is the source — the domain list under account 39335 is the only place that stays up to date as brands come and go.

What actually deserves caution here

Because MoneyPlay was UK-licensed rather than offshore, the real warnings are not the usual “no protections at all” ones. They are more specific, and worth reading before you go looking for it:

• It appears to be closed. More than one review now lists MoneyPlay as no longer operating. If you hold an old account or a balance, do not assume it will simply reappear — contact ProgressPlay, the operator, rather than searching for a working MoneyPlay login that may no longer exist.
• The operator has a poor compliance record. In August 2025 the Gambling Commission fined ProgressPlay £1 million over anti-money-laundering and player-protection failings (iGaming Business; UKGC regulatory action record), after a £175,718 settlement for similar issues in 2022. A UK licence is real protection; it is not a promise the operator always got things right.
• Your account is with the operator, not the badge. Because every ProgressPlay brand shares one platform, a self-exclusion or a complaint reaches the operator, not just the single site — useful to know if you want to stop, since opening a “different” ProgressPlay brand is not a genuine fresh start.
• Deposit limits are per account. A limit you set at one brand does not automatically travel to another. If you use more than one, set your limit at each. A UK-scheme self-exclusion behaves differently — see below.
• Offshore look-alikes. If you find a site trading as “MoneyPlay” with no UKGC account in its footer, that is not this brand and not UK-licensed. Walk away and use a currently-licensed casino instead.

The verdict

MoneyPlay is not the offshore casino it is sometimes made out to be — it was a UK-licensed ProgressPlay white-label — but that does not make it the site to reach for. It appears to be closed, and even when it was open it belonged to an operator the regulator has twice penalised. The safer choice is a UK Gambling Commission–licensed casino that is currently trading and has a cleaner record, where you keep the full UK toolkit: an independent complaints and ADR route, funds handled under UK rules, and access to the national online self-exclusion scheme.
