We have not recorded a Great Britain licence for this brand. An overseas licence, if one is listed, does not authorise it to serve players in Great Britain. This profile is for ownership research; check the exact domain in the Gambling Commission register.
Short version: Mad (the casino at madcasino.io) is an offshore brand, not a UK-licensed one. The company named across independent sources as its operator is Softon Ltd, a Cyprus-registered business trading under a licence from the State of Anjouan (in the Comoros), not from the UK Gambling Commission. It is reported to sit inside a network of similar Softon casinos, so it does appear to have sisters — but, as we explain below, that family cannot be checked on a public register the way a UK operator's can, and you should treat every relationship on this page as reported rather than register-confirmed.
Every independent write-up we could find names the same operator: Softon Ltd, registered in Cyprus. That name is corroborated by investigative reporting on the company as well as by casino-review and sister-site trackers, which is a reasonable basis for stating it — but it is not the same standard as a regulator's register, so confirm it yourself in Mad's own terms and conditions, where the operating company has to be named. We have deliberately not printed a Cyprus company registration number here, because we could not confirm one on the Cyprus companies register, and an unverified number is worse than none.
On licensing, the honest position matters. Mad is not UK Gambling Commission licensed; you will not find it on the UKGC public register, and it should not be described as UK-regulated. What it presents instead is an Anjouan gaming licence. Anjouan is a genuine offshore jurisdiction, but it is a light-touch one: it does not give a UK player a UK complaints route, an approved UK dispute-resolution (ADR) service, or any UK customer-funds protection. A licence existing is not the same as the protections you would get at home.
Affiliate pages routinely print an Anjouan licence number for Mad, and the identical number turns up attached to several other Softon brands. That is a warning sign, not a reassurance: a single reference copied across multiple casinos, with no way for a member of the public to look it up, is exactly the sort of "detail" that spreads by copy-paste rather than by checking. We tried to verify it on the Anjouan licensing authority's own verification portal and could not — the service was unreachable to us at the time of writing. So we will say plainly what is true: we could not independently verify Mad's licence number on the regulator's own register, and we are not going to reprint a number we cannot stand behind. If a number matters to you, load Mad's footer, click the licence seal, and see whether it resolves to a live, brand-specific record. If it does not, that tells you something.
Because the operator is Softon Ltd, Mad's "sisters" are the other casinos run by that same company. The strongest, most-repeated link is Betzter; a wider group is named by some trackers. The table below shows what the available sources say, with an honest confidence note per row. Read it as "reported to share the operator", not "confirmed on a register".
| Brand | Operator | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Betzter | Softon Ltd (reported) | Named as a Softon brand by investigative reporting and by multiple trackers — the highest-confidence sister here, though still not register-verifiable. |
| Winzter | Softon Ltd (reported) | Appears in several Softon-network lists; we could not confirm it against any public register. |
| Kingdom Casino | Softon Ltd (reported) | Listed in the same network and shown displaying the same Anjouan licence reference. Notably, its own terms name the United Kingdom as a restricted territory. |
Some trackers extend the family further — names such as TenBet, Tucan, Dracula and Aphrodite have all been attached to Softon by a single source we could not corroborate. We are leaving those out of the table on purpose: one uncross-checked list is not evidence, and padding a sister table with unverified brands is precisely the habit that makes these pages untrustworthy.
With a UK operator, this is a solved problem: two casinos either share a Gambling Commission account number or they do not, and anyone can look it up in minutes. Offshore, that backstop is missing. Anjouan does not publish an operator-and-brands register that a player can search, the licence reference appears to be shared rather than brand-specific, and the affiliate lists disagree with each other about who belongs in the group. So the most useful thing we can tell you is not a tidy family tree but a method: open each brand's terms, find the operating company, and only trust a "sister" claim where the same company is named. Anything softer than that is guesswork dressed up as research.
This is information for someone already searching for Mad, framed as warnings, because the trade-offs run against you.
For a UK player, a UK Gambling Commission-licensed casino is the safer choice, and it is not close. A UKGC licence keeps three things an offshore site cannot give you: a real complaints escalation to an approved adjudicator, a clear statement of how your money is held, and coverage by the national online self-exclusion scheme. Mad offers none of those. It appears to have genuine sisters through Softon Ltd, but the network is unverifiable on any public register, the circulating licence number could not be confirmed, and the group's own terms may not even want UK players. If you still choose to play here, go in clear-eyed: treat it as money you can afford to lose, keep your own records of deposits and messages, and read the terms — including the restricted-territories and bonus sections — before you fund the account.
